About
In 1957, a small group of prominent citizens formed the San Antonio Council on Alcohol on Drug Awareness (SACADA) to educate the community about the disease of alcoholism. For 65 years, SACADA has been educating our communities in prevention, intervention, and recovery support services to children and adults in order to strengthen families to live healthy and productive lives. SACADA serves Bexar, Atascosa, Bandera, Guadalupe, Kendall, Kerr, Medina, and Wilson counties. SACADA also provides court-mandated classes to youth and adults whose lifestyle choices have put them at risk for a substance use disorder. These include: DWI Education, Minor in Possession, Alcohol and Drug Awareness Education, and Marijuana Awareness Education.
