Poetry Crush: A Pride Month Literary Event

Join Gemini Ink as we celebrate Pride Month 2026 with a lovestruck literary event! Poetry Crush invites generations of queer poets to read their own work and the works of their poetry crushes. Because poetry is our love language, we’ll reflect on lovesick lessons from the past and present, and imagine a liberated future.

Featured artists include Dee Lalo Garcia, Lace Garcia, Marcela Hernandez, Barbie Huerta, and Debra Munoz-Bratina.  

We’ll have writing prompts available for anyone inspired to write. Bring a poem by your favorite queer author to read at the community open mic. We’ll have plenty of time to mix and mingle as we rock to the chaotic sounds of DJ Mexistenialism. Light refreshments will be served. We’ll end the evening with a dance party!

This event is designed to introduce our community to emerging queer authors and to celebrate queer writers in a fun, sober space.
